Liam is currently in third year of university studying for a Bachelor of Honours in Music (BMus) at Technological University Dublin Conservatoire of Music. He studies organ with Simon Harden and has done so since starting the degree. Exams completed are up to Grade 7 at the conservatoire level. He has experience playing at services for multiple churches within Dublin. Liams primary instrument is the piano, and he has studied with Dr David Mooney, Head of Keyboard Studies TU Dublin Conservatoire for 10 years at this point. Exams completed are Advanced level 2 which is the highest level within the conservatoire, ATCL diploma & ABRSM Grade 8. He is also an avid cellist, holding an ABRSM Performance Diploma for that instrument.
Liam has taken part in the Feis Ceoil for senior organ playing, as well being awarded prizes in the TUD Conservatoire organ competitions. In addition to organ, he has participated in and won numerous national piano competitions such as the Feis Ceoil, most notably the John Benson Cup for Bach playing, and has won Feis Ceoil prizes for solo cello and chamber music ensemble playing.
Liam also performs as a soloist and accompanist. Recent piano performances include Boyle Arts Festival, Westport Chamber Music Festival & West Wicklow Chamber Music Festival. He regularly accompanies various singers and instrumentalists, and has appeared on Ireland’s longest running chat show ‘The Late Late Show’.
